Summer is in full swing, the days are long and warm and we're enjoying some new trails in around Cumberland. Here's a rundown of what's available for your tires to explore.
Bucket of Blood - Logging has changed the look of this favorite, but come fall it will emerge with a new feel. Everything above Forest Dump is intact, and below the logging company has cleared off the trail for us to rebuild. Look for work parties when it becomes a bit wetter.
Allen Lake Project - Fresh before the BC Bike Race and 800 tires, Jeremy, Martin, Mike and others handily built the new Short Line trail from the Trent River Main all the way to the Teapot / Steamdonkey junction. Check the map for this update.
Bear Buns - The River Rats have been busy skirting the Bucket clearing and have created a fun new trail called Bear Buns, which splits off Bucket just at the top of the clearcut and follows Perseverence Creek all the way down. At the bottom you will find the new Sykes Bridge crossing over the creek and joining the two parts of Cumberland.
More to come as we come to our fall build season so stay tuned!
